First Look Of Thala Ajith’s Viswasam Releases With A Bang

The first look poster of the Thala Ajith – Nayanthara starrer Viswasam was launched at 3:40 am – said to be an auspicious time – today. It features Ajith sporting two contrasting looks – one with grey hair and the other with dark hair. The star will sport thick facial hair and a twirled moustache throughout the film. The poster also presents the film's two distinct backdrops – a swanky Mumbai and a rural Tamil Nadu (said to be Theni).

Thanks to Ajith's massive fan base, buzz around the first look poster has been huge. Despite the launch time being announced late last night, fans took to social media in droves to create hype around it.

Directed by Siva and produced by Sathya Jyothi Films, Viswasam is confirmed to release for Pongal 2019. This is the fourth film from the Ajith – Siva duo after Veeram (which had also released during Pongal), Vedalam and Vivegam.

Here's what a source close to the unit told us:

"About 60% of Viswasam has been shot so far. Ajith sir's two distinct looks will also be complemented by two unique styles of body language. He will be seen in a serious as well as fun tone in the film. The shoot may be wrapped around October and the film will release for Pongal, leaving ample time for post-production.

Viswasam has been shot majorly in sets erected at Ramoji Film City, Hyderabad. The current schedule being canned there will be wrapped soon. We can't shoot outdoors in Tamil Nadu with a person of Ajith sir's stature! We will also shoot in Mumbai for a short while."

Viswasam will have music by D. Imman, while Vetri is handling the camera and Ruben will edit the film. Milan is taking care of the art direction and Dhilip Subbarayan is the stunt choreographer.
