Who is Vijay Varma, we don't want to dress anybody: Varma on how Stylists reacted during his Cannes Debut in 2013

Vijay Varma’s first time at Cannes Film Festival was in 2013 for Monsoon Shootout (2013) which starred Nawazuddin Siddiqui. 10 years later Varma is a part of the Indian delegation at the Cannes Film Festival 2023.

Talking about his first time around Varma said, “When I came here I bought one jacket from Zara which I could afford but for two events they said, you will have to wear a whole suit. So I went to people asking can some designer come, or if some stylist can help me out they said who is Vijay Varma we don't want to dress anybody. So then a friend of mine gifted me a pair of Zara suits which I wore for the morning photoshoot and somebody stitched me a pair of tuxedos for the red carpet, that's how I went. And when I saw the pictures when they came out in Getty (Images) and such places I didn't have the money to buy from. So no, I still don't have those images."
