Weekend Box Office: Mission Mangal Soars Past Batla House

The three big releases this week were Jagan Shakti's Mission Mangal, Nikkhil Advani's Batla House and Quentin Tarantino's ninth film Once Upon A Time In Hollywood. The story of ISRO's Mars Mission earned Rs96.5 crores, making it the biggest opening of Akshay Kumar's career. Batla House, based on the 2008 encounter case, did decently well but one will have to see how it performs over the week to know how far it will carry. Tarantino's film had a slow start, earning Rs5.5 crores at the box office.
