Shaitaan Box Office Collection: Earns Over Rs. 50 Crore in Opening Weekend

Shaitaan, Vikas Bahl’s latest, sees Ajay Devgn and R. Madhavan in a supernatural face-off. Also starring Jyothika, Janki Bodiwala and Anngad Raaj, the horror film follows a family whose home is infiltrated by an evil black magic practitioner. With its unprecedented weekend numbers, Shaitaan has emerged as a runaway box office success — to the point where select theatres reportedly started late-night screenings of the film specifically for lovers of horror.

According to box office trackers Sacnilk Entertainment, Shaitaan enters this week comfortably placed in the 50-crore club. The film opened on the Mahashivratri holiday at Rs. 14.75, and saw a steady rise over the weekend, with Rs. 18.75 crore on Saturday and Rs. 20.5 crore on Sunday. Shaitaan is expected to hit the Rs. 100-crore mark with ease, a noteworthy turnaround from the box office failure of Devgn’s last film Bholaa (2023). The film is Madhavan’s first hit since the critically acclaimed Rocketry: The Nambi Effect (2022). Devgn was also one of the producers on Shaitaan, which was made on an estimated budget of Rs. 65 crore.
