Written by Raj Nidimoru and Krishna D.K., and directed by Amar Kaushik, Stree is one of the highest grossing films of 2018. It stars Rajkummar Rao, Shraddha Kapoor, Aparshakti Khurrana, Pankaj Tripathi and Abhishek Banerjee.

Stree is a female ghost who appears only during the four days of the annual festival to haunt the residents of Chanderi. What makes her unique is that she preys only on men and believes in consent. In a terrific scene we are told that she only abducts men who turn around when she calls, because looking into her eyes is giving permission.
