With a new month comes new possibilities, talent, collaborations and shiny new releases for us to get lost in.

From the much-awaited new season of The Boys on Amazon Prime Video to the new season of Bobby Deol series Aashram on MX Player, here is a list of what’s releasing this month across platforms.

The Umbrella Academy Season 3

When: June 22

Season 3 of the show picks up after the cliffhanger at the end of season two, revealing that the superhero siblings have returned to 2019.

The Boys S3

When: June 3

Season 3 of The Boys picks up a year after the previous one. The Boys learn of a mysterious anti-supe weapon, which sets them on the trail of Soldier Boy, the first superhero.

The Summer I Turned Pretty

Based on the Jenny Han novel of the same name, this series follows a 16-year-old girl caught in a love triangle between two brothers.

The Lake S1

When: June 17

A man (Jordan Gavaris) returns to his home country after a breakup and tries to connect with his teenage daughter he gave up for adoption.

My Fake Boyfriend

When: June 24

A young man (Keiynan Lonsdale) create a fake boyfriend for himself on social media in the hopes of keeping his awful ex-boyfriend out of his life. His plan goes awry when he falls in love for real.

The new season of this alternate-reality series is set in the early ‘90s, with the characters setting their sights on successfully landing on Mars.

A man is found hanged in a close-knit community on the Georgian Black Sea. The village’s secrets begin to unravel when his granddaughter arrives to organise his funeral. This film premiered at the 2021 Locarno Film Festival.

Documentary filmmaker Alice Diop takes the RER B train route across Paris and its suburbs, getting off at various stations and interviewing citizens at random.
