Allu Arjun's Pushpa 2: The Rule Teaser Date Announced

Allu Arjun's Pushpa 2: The Rule has become the most anticipated film of the year across India. Directed by Sukumar, the sequel has been generating significant buzz. The makers recently shared a major update, revealing that the teaser will be released on April 8, which coincides with Allu Arjun's birthday. A new poster has also been released, adding to the excitement surrounding the much-awaited teaser. The makers have not revealed too many plot details till now so the teaser will be the first real look at what’s in store for Pushpa Raj this time. 

Pushpa 2: The Rule will see the return of key cast members including Rashmika Mandanna, Fahadh Faasil, Sunil, Anasuya Bharadwaj, Jagadish, and others. Produced by Mythri Movie Makers and featuring music by Devi Sri Prasad, the highly anticipated sequel is scheduled to be released in theatres as an Independence Day special on August 15, 2024.

Vidaa Muyarchi BTS out with Ajith performing his own stunts

Fans of Ajith Kumar were treated to a sneak peek of his upcoming film Vidaa Muyarchi though in an unexpected manner. The production house's social media profile shared a clip showcasing a car action scene involving Ajith and his co-star Aarav.

In the clip, Ajith and Aarav are seen maneuvering safely inside the car as it flips and lands on its roof. The video concludes with the crew rushing to check on the actors. It was revealed that the scene was filmed in November last year, suggesting that both actors emerged unscathed from the shot.

Directed by Magizh Thirumeni and produced by Lyca Productions, Vidaa Muyarchi also features Trisha, Arjun Sarja, and Regina Cassandra. The film's technical team includes cinematographer Nirav Shah, editor NB Srikanth, and music composer Anirudh Ravichander.

First look of Rashmika Mandanna from The Girlfriend out

The makers of the upcoming Telugu film The Girlfriend unveiled the first look of lead actor Rashmika Mandanna from the film, on the occasion of her birthday.

The film, directed by Rahul Ravindran, co-stars Dheekshith Shetty, and ha music by Hesham Abdul Wahab. Presented by Allu Aravind, the film is produced by Vidya Koppineedi and Dheeraj Mogilineni. The makes are expected to unveil the teaser soon.

‘Illuminati’ song from Fahadh Faasil's Aavesham out

Aavesham starring Fahadh Faasil is set for release on April 11. As part of the promotion the team released a new song titled 'Illuminati' on Friday. Composed by Sushin Shyam, with lyrics by Vinayak Sasikumar, the song is sung by Dabzee. 'Illuminati' is the third single from 'Aavesham,' following the earlier releases of 'Jaada' and 'Galatta.'

Directed by Jithu Madhavan, known for the blockbuster Romancham (2023).  In this film Fahadh Faasil as Ranga plays a thug whose followers admire his prowess in physical altercations. Fahadh's character is reportedly an extension of the role played by Chemban Vinod Jose in Romancham (2023).

The film is produced by actor Nazriya Nazim and director Anwar Rasheed. Sameer Thahir is the cinematographer and Vivek Harshan served as the editor.

Shooting Concludes for Prithviraj Sukumaran's Guruvayoor Ambalanadayil

Actor Prithviraj Sukumaran has wrapped up shooting for Guruvayoor Ambalanadayil a comedy directed by Vipin Das, the Malayalam film is a comedy-drama depicting a young man's misadventures during a wedding, culminating in an unexpected marriage to a woman who has offended the groom.

Manjummel Boys Telugu version gets a theatrical release

Manjummel Boys (2024) has created history by becoming the first Malayalam film to earn ₹200 crore worldwide. The film is now set to be introduced to Telugu-speaking regions, with the Telugu version slated for release on April 6. 

The film has created a massive buzz across India. It would be interesting to see if it will follow in the footsteps of Premalu (2024), another Malayalam hit when dubbed in Telugu got massive box office numbers. This Malayalam survival thriller, inspired by a true incident from 2006, follows the gripping story of a group of friends from Kochi. Directed by Chidambaram S Poduval, the film stars Soubin Shahir, Ganapathi, Khalid Rahman, and Sreenath Bhasi in lead roles.

Prabhu Deva to Star in a Superhero Movie Titled Minman

Actor-director Prabhu Deva is set to star in a superhero film titled Minman directed by Praveen and Sathish. The film was announced through a short video showing Prabhu Deva dressed as a superhero, standing on a skyscraper, with the tricolour Indian flag as his cape.

OTT Release Date of Lal Salaam Announced

It has been announced that Lal Salaam, starring Vishnu Vishal and Vikranth as lead characters with Rajinikanth in a special appearance will premiere on Sun NXT from April 12. The film is directed by Aishwarya Rajinikanth with music composed by A R Rahman and produced by Subaskaran.
