S J Suryah is on a Mission to Bust Myths in
Vadhandhi Trailer (Tamil)

S J Suryah plays a police officer, Vivek, who is on a mission to solve the murder of Velonie. While her death in itself is a mystery, people spread several rumours about her. The title Vadhandhi translates to rumour. Who is Velonie? Was she kidnapped and murdered by a stranger or was she trapped by someone close to her? Several questions cloud Vivek’s mind. With rumours spreading like wildfire, Vivek is perplexed yet determined to solve the case. Will he be able to make his way through the half-truths and connect the missing dots? 

Produced by Pushkar and Gayatri, Vadhandhi: The Fable of Velonie co-stars Sanjana, Laila, Nasser, and Vivek Prasanna. It is written and directed by Andrew Louis and will stream on Amazon Prime Video from December 2.

Chal Chakka, First single from Gatta Kusthi is out (Tamil)

Chal Chakka, the first single from Vishnu Vishal and Aishwarya Lekshmi starrer Gatta Kusthi was released by its makers on social media. This celebration number from the film has vocals by Benny Dayal and lyrics by Vivek in Justin Prabhakaran’s music. Gatta Kusthi is a sports drama that revolves around wrestling. The film will be released in Telugu as Matti Kusthi

Directed by Chella Ayyavu, the film is backed by Vishnu Vishal and Ravi Teja under the banners Vishnu Vishal Studioz and RT Teamworks. Prasanna GK has handled the editing and Richard M Nathan is the cinematographer. The film is slated to hit theatres on December 2.

First look of Suraj Venjaramoodu's Ennalum Entaliya is out (Malayalam)

Ennalum Entaliya is said to be a comedy that highlights contemporary issues. The film revolves around a Muslim teenage girl who falls in love with a Hindu boy, and the film was earlier titled Love Jihad.

Directed by Bash Mohammed of Luka Chuppi fame, the film is produced by Listin Stephen under the banner Magic Frames. It stars Suraj Venjaramoodu, Lena, Gayathri, and Siddique in important roles. Manoj has handled the editing while Prakash Velayudhan is the cinematographer.

Alphonse Puthren’s Gold gets a release date (Malayalam)

Alphonse Puthren's highly anticipated film, Gold will be hitting screens on December 1. The film marks Alphonse’s comeback to direction after seven long years. Apart from writing and directing, the film’s editing, stunts, VFX, and animation are also handled by Alphonse Puthren. Produced by Prithviraj Productions and Magic Frames, the film stars Prithviraj Sukumaran and Nayanthara in lead roles. 

First look of Shine Tom Chacko's character from Christopher (Malayalam)

Mammootty starrer Christopher is a thriller based on real life incidents. And recently, the character poster of Shine Tom Chacko was shared by the makers on social media. He plays a police officer named George Kottrakkan in the film and is introduced as ‘the wolf’. Christopher is directed by B Unnikrishnan and the script is penned by Uday Krishna. Produced by Aroma Mohan and RD Illuminations, the film also stars Sneha, Amala Paul, Aishwarya Lekshmi, Dileesh Pothan, and Siddique.

The first look of Basil Joseph's Kadina Kadoramee Andakadaham is out (Malayalam)

Muhashin's directorial debut, Kadina Kadoramee Andakadaham is a feel-good entertainer. The first look of the film carries a sense of whimsical vibe with Basil’s character holding money, surrounded by white pigeons amidst the sea. The film has been written by Harshad of Unda fame. 

Backed by Naisam Salam Productions, the film also stars Indrans, Johnny Antony, and Jaffer Idukki.

Jiiva's Varalaru Mukkiyam to be released on December 9 (Tamil)

Santhosh Rajan’s directorial debut Varalaru Mukkiyam is a romantic comedy. The film, shot across Chennai, Coimbatore, Hyderabad, and Kerala, is produced by Super Good Films banner. The film stars Kashmira Pardeshi, Pragya Nagara, Viji Rathish and Malayalam actor Siddique. The film is set to hit the screens on December 9. 

Naga Chaitanya's NC22 titled Custody (Tamil-Telugu)

Naga Chaitanya and Venkat Prabhu's Tamil-Telugu bilingual film has been titled Custody. The first look of the film was recently shared with the title and a tagline, “you must be the change you wish to see in the world”. The film marks Naga Chaitanya’s Tamil debut and Venkat Prabhu’s Telugu debut. 

Produced by Srinivasaa Chitturi under the banner Srinivasaa Silver Screen, the film also stars Arvind Swamy and Krithi Shetty in prominent roles. The film's music is composed by father-son duo Ilaiyaraaja and Yuvan Shankar Raja.

Nani, Adivi Sesh to star in HIT 3 (Telugu)

Sailesh Kolanu’s crime verse expands as makers are bracing for the third instalment in the Hit franchise. The film will see Nani and Adivi Sesh share screen space for the first time. Jersey actor Nani has bankrolled the previous two films and has also done a cameo in Hit 2. Tamil actor Vijay Sethupathi will also be seen playing a prominent role in the film. 

Adhvithi Shetty to play a biker in her next (Kannada)

Directed by Bharath VJ, the sports drama is based on real events. Adhvithi Shetty will be seen essaying the role of a real life biker. Professional biker Sandesh Prasanna will be seen sharing the screen with Adhvithi Shetty.

Nagabhushana to play lead in Tagaru Palya (Kannada)

Ikkat fame Nagabhushana is set to play the lead in Tagaru Palya. The film is set in a village and follows the lives of a group of villagers who cook at temples. This is a regular event in the village and the story revolves around what happens during one such event. Directed by debutant Umesh K Krupa, the film is produced by Dhananjaya under the banner Daali Pictures. 

Trailer of Vijay Sethupathi's DSP out (Tamil)

Ponram's DSP stars Vijay Sethupathi as a DSP with a unique name and style. The actor plays Vascodagama, a police officer who can pack a few punches, and punch dialogues too. The film, which co-stars Anukreethy Vas, Prabhakar, and Pugazh, will hit the big screens this December.

Jai Balayya, the first single from Veera Simha Reddy is out (Telugu)

Jai Balayya is the new mass anthem for Natasimha Nandamuri Balakrishna’s fans. The song captures the essence and swag of Balakrishna, with Kareemullah’s vocals elevating SS Thaman’s music. Veera Simha Reddy is directed by Gopichand Malineni. Produced by Naveen Yerneni and Y Ravi Shankar under the banner Mythri Movie Makers, the film also stars Shruti Haasan, Duniya Vijay, and Varalaxmi Sarathkumar. The editing has been handled by Navin Nooli.

Silambarasan's Pathu Thala wrapped up (Tamil)

Silambarasan-Gautham Karthik starrer Pathu Thala completed filming last Wednesday. Billed as a gangster film, Pathu Thala is an official remake of Kannada film, Mufti. Simbu essays the role of Shivarajkumar from the original while Gautham Karthik will play the role played by Sriimurali. Helmed by Obeli N Krishna, the film also stars Priya Bhavani Shankar, and Gautham Vasudev Menon. Produced by KE Gnanavel Raja under the banner of Studio Green, the film has music by A.R. Rahman.
