Kalvan (Tamil)

When: 4th April

This GV Prakash starrer tells the story of a thief, who aspires to get an anti-poaching ranger job in the forest to look after elephants. But what if he is asked to bribe Rs. 2 lakh to get the job? Directed by PV Shankar, the film co-stars Ivana, P Bharathiraja and G Gnanasambandam.

Family Star (Telugu)

When: 5th April

Family Star revolves around a middle-class man struggling to make ends meet who aims to achieve big in life. Directed by Parasuram of Geetha Govindam (2018) fame, the film stars Vijay Deverakonda, Mrunal Thakur, Divyansha Kaushik and Rohini Hattangadi.

L (Malayalam)

When: 5th April

Several pregnant women are mysteriously murdered over some time and a police inspector decides to nab the serial killer by referring to similar case histories registered in the 1980s in Hungary and other European countries. Directed by  Shoji Sebastian, the film stars Sandhya Manoj, Joshy Krishna, Vishnu Vijayan and Aswathi Arunkumar.

Badal: The Manifesto (Malayalam)

When: 5th April

Based on real events, the film depicts the horrendous struggles of the Sebaltian Tribes and how a woman-led Naxalite movement impacted their lives. Directed by G Ajayan, the film stars Sweth Menon, Gayathri Suresh, Salim Kumar, Joy Mathew and IM Vijayan.

Bharathanatyam (Telugu)

When: 5th April

When an assistant director gets embroiled in the world of crime, he attempts to outsmart a criminal gang to find a way out. Directed by KVR Mahendra, the film features Surya Teja Aelay, Viva Harsha and Harsha Vardhan.

White Rose (Tamil)

When: 5th April

A grieving widow is searching for her kidnapped daughter; a psychotic killer is on the run and a police officer is on the lookout for redemption. All these narrative strands come together to form the basic setup of this gritty thriller featuring Anandhi, RK Suresh, Rooso Sreedharan and Vijith. It is directed by K Rajashekar.

The First Omen (English)

When: 5th April

The prequel to the original Omen (1976), this film is the sixth entry in the classic horror ‘Omen’ franchise. It focuses on a soon-to-be converted Nun who chances upon a conspiracy to give life to an evil figure. The film directed by Arkasha Stevenson, features Nell Tiger Free, Bill Nighy, Tawkeef Barhom and Ralph Ineson.

One Life (English)

When: 5th April

This historical biopic narrates the life of ‘Sir Nicholas `Nicky’ Winton, who is less discussed in the annals of World War Two history. The film traces his heroic rescue of the lives of 600 children from Nazi-occupied Czechoslovakia. One Life features Sir Anthony Hopkins in the lead role and co-stars Helena Bonham Carter, Jonathan Pryce and Alex Sharp. It is directed by James Hawes.

Love Lies Bleeding (English)

When: 5th April

This modern-day romance follows a gym instructor and an ambitious bodybuilder. The film traces the challenges they face in their union, as one of their backgrounds in crime comes back to follow them. Directed by ‘Saint Maud (2019) fame Rose Glass, the film stars Kristen Stewart, Katy M O’Brian, Ed Harris and Jena Malone.

3rd October (Hindi)

When: 5th April

Two Lawyers take on each other in a high-profile sexual molestation case, which descends into a wild, media frenzy. Directed by Vineeth Jha, this courtroom drama stars Hiten Tejwani, Sneha Ullal, Manini Mishra and Moin Khan.

The Lost Girl (Hindi)

When: 5th April

The story follows the life of a 5-year-old girl, who gets separated from her parents during the aftermath of the 1984 Brutal Sikh riots in Delhi. Directed by Aditya Ranoliya, it stars Prachi Bansal, Aronica Ranoliya and Bhupesh Singh.

Matinee (Kannada)

When: 5th April

Arun owns a property in Bangalore and invites his friends to celebrate their reunion. However, they get trapped within the house. Directed by Manohar Kaampalli, the film stars Sathish Ninasam, Rachitha Ram, Aditi Prabhudeva, Nagabhushana N S and Shivaraj KR Pete.

Marigold (Kannada)

When: 5th April

Two friends plan to steal a gold consignment from the police but when things get messed up, they are forced to fix their mistakes before the police find out. Directed by Raghavendra M. Naik, the film features Diganth Manchale, Sangeetha Sringeri, Sampath Mythria and Yash Shetty.
