Stamped from the Beginning

Roger Ross Williams helms this documentary that traces racism and anti-Black sentiment over the course of American history. It is based on Ibram X. Kendi’s best-selling book Stamped from the Beginning: The Definitive History of Racist Ideas in America (2016).

Squid Game: The Challenge 

When: November 22

Where: Netflix

This reality competition show is based on the hit South Korean drama Squid Game (2021) where participants can win $4.56 million. The challenges will be inspired from the 2021 Netflix show and each player will be pushed to their limit. 

Pulimada 

When: November 23

Where: Netflix

Director AK Sajan’s film tells the story of a police officer who embarks on a journey through a village plagued by a man-eating tiger.

Leo 

When: November 24

Where: Netflix

Lokesh Kanagaraj’s Tamil language action thriller starring Thalapathy Vijay and Trisha Krishnan is coming to Netflix. The third instalment in the LCU, this film is inspired by A History of Violence (2005). 

Chaaver

When: November 24

Where: SonyLIV

Tinu Pappachan’s political action thriller about two rival gangs going head-to-head drops on SonyLIV this week. The Malayalam-language film released in theatres in October. 

The Aam Aadmi Family Season 4 

When: November 24

Where: Zee5

In the fourth season of this comedy-drama series, we join the Sharma family as they deal with new challenges, dealing with every curveball life throws their way from the death of a beloved family member, to selling their family home. 

My Demon 

When: November 24

Where: Netflix

This highly-anticipated K-drama is about a contract marriage between a hated heiress (Kim Yoo-jung, last seen in 20th Century Girl) and a demon who has lost his powers (Song Kang, best known for Love Alarm and Nevertheless). 

The Village 

When: November 24

Where: Prime Video

Tamil actor Arya makes his OTT debut with this horror series set in Kattiyal where Gautham (Arya) has to save his family from vengeful spirits. It is a highly anticipated series, and is based on the graphic horror novel of the same name.

Gran Turismo 

When: November 25

Where: Netflix

Based on a true story, Gran Turismo is the inspiring tale of a team of underdogs who take a big risk and compete in the world’s most elite sport of race driving.

The Machine 

When: November 26

Where: Netflix

Inspired by one of the stand-up routines of American comedian Bert Kreischer, in the film, Kreischer, nicknamed “The Machine”, acts as the lead. Kreischer is kidnapped by Russian mobsters for his drunken transgressions during a college trip 20 years ago.
