Helmed by Rajesh Ananthleela, DR 56 is billed to be a sci-fi- suspense thriller. The first look of the film featuring Priyamani was shared by Vijay Sethupathi on his Twitter. The film also stars Deepak Shetty, Ramesh Bhatt, and Veena Ponnappa in prominent roles. This Tamil-Kannada bilingual will also be dubbed in Telugu and Malayalam and is slated to be released on December 9.
The film is written and produced by Praveen Reddy T under the banners Hari Hara Pictures and Sri Lakshmi Jyothi Creations. Vishwa NM has handled the editing, Rakesh C Thilak has lensed the film and Nobin Paul has composed the music.
The Great Indian Kitchen director Jeo Baby's Kaathal marks the comeback of Jyothika to Malayalam cinema. Written by Adarsh Sukumaran and Paulson Skaria, the film also stars Lalu Alex, Muthumani, Chinnu Chandni, Sudhi Kozhikode, Anagha Akku, Josi Sijo and Adarsh Sukumaran.
Kaathal will be produced by Mammootty Kampany and distributed by Dulquer Salmaan's Wayfarer Films. Salu K Thomas is the cinematographer, Mathews Pulickal is the music composer and Francies Louis is the editor.
Samuthirakani plays a policeman in Rakesh Uppalapati’s directorial debut Nenu Student Sir. Billed as an action entertainer, the film stars Bellamkonda Ganesh and Avantika Dassani in lead roles. Samuthirakani is said to play the father of Avantika Dassani’s character.
Written by Krishna Chaitanya, the film also stars Sunil, Srikanth Iyengar, Auto Ramprasad, Charandeep, Pramodhini and Ravi Sivateja. It is produced by Naandhi Satish Varma. While Anith Madhadi is the cinematographer, Chota K Prasad is the editor and Mahati Swara Sagar is the music director.
Krishna Leela and Krishnan Love Story fame Shashank teams up with Darling Krishna. Billed as a romantic family entertainer, the film is titled Kousalya Supraja Rama. The film is said to revolve around a mother-son relationship. Produced by Kourava Production House and Shashank Cinemas, the music for the film is composed by Arjun Janya and Sugnyan is the DOP.
Sakthivel’s directorial debut Miral is billed as a slasher thriller. Set amidst a windmill farm, the film follows an engineer and his wife as they encounter strange events that unfold. Miral is slated to hit the theatres on November 11.
The film is produced by G Dilli Babu under his banner Axess Film Factory and stars Bharath and Vani Bhojan in the lead roles. While Prasad SN has composed the music, Suresh Bala has cranked the camera and Kalaivanan R has edited the film.
Aju Varghese, Johny Antony, and Saiju Kurup starrer Sthanarthi Sreekuttan went on floors on Thursday. Touted to be a school drama, the first look features a group of school kids. The film is helmed by Vinesh Viswanath. The writing team includes Vinesh Viswanath, Murali Krishnan, Anand Manmadhan, and Kailash S Bhavan.
The film is produced by Nishant Pillai and Muhammed Rafi MA under the banner Budget Lab Productions. While Kailash has handled the editing, PS Jayahari has composed the music and Anoop V Shylaja has lensed the film.
Ranjit Jeyakodi of Puriyaatha Puthir (2017) fame has helmed Michael, which stars Telugu actor Sundeep Kishan in the lead. Touted as a pan-Indian film, this gangster saga also features Vijay Sethupathi in a salt and pepper look. Gautham Vasudev Menon is said to essay the antagonist role.
The film seems to revolve around the world of Michael, an amateur gangster. The teaser carries a vintage feel by featuring classic gangster cars, red-yellow coloured backdrops and retro clothing. Presented by director Lokesh Kanagaraj, the film has music by Sam CS and co-stars Divyansha Kaushik, Varun Sandesh, Anasuya and Varalaxmi Sarathkumar.
Vineeth Sreenivasan’s Mukundan Unni Associates is slated to be released on November 11. The film marks the directorial debut of editor Abhinav Sunder Nayak of Uriyadi, Godha, and Aanandam fame.
Director Abhinav Sunder Nayak has also co-written and co-edited Mukundan Unni Associates. The film is also penned by Vimal Gopalakrishnan and has music by Sibi Mathew Alex. Produced by Dr. Ajith Joy, Viswajith Odukkathil has lensed the film and Nidhin Raj Arol has co-handled the editing.
Billed as a horror thriller, the film follows a bunch of friends who gets caught in a strange situation. GV Prakash essays the role of a YouTuber while Gautham Vasudev Menon plays a detective.

After the action film Kaduva (2022), Shaji Kailas and Prithviraj Sukumaran reunite for Kaapa. Set in Thiruvananthapuram, the action film is centred around the concept of revenge and gang wars. “When a gang leader is killed, his brother, brother-in-law, or cousin will join the gang and avenge his death,” Nandu’s character warns us.
Helmed by Shaji Kailas, the revenge drama co stars Aparna Balamurali, Asif Ali, and Anna Ben. The story is penned by G R Indugopan. The film is produced under the banners of Fefka Writers Union, Theatre of Dreams, and Saregama India Limited. While Dawn Vincent has composed the music, Jomon T John has cranked the camera and Shameer Muhammed has handled the editing.
Samantha’s Yashoda is all set to hit the screens on November 11. The film follows a pregnant woman as she fights life threatening challenges for survival. Billed as a new age action thriller, it co-stars Varalaxmi Sarath Kumar, Unni Mukundan, Rao Ramesh, Murali Sharma, Sampath Raj, Shatru and Madhurima.
Written and directed by Hari Shankar and Harish Narayan, the film is produced by Sivalenka Krishna Prasad under the banner Sridevi Movies. While Mani Sharma has composed the music, Marthand K Venkatesh has handled the editing and M Sukumar is the cinematographer. The film will be released in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam and Hindi.
Billed as a suspense thriller, Veekam is slated to be released on the first week of November. Set in the backdrop of a medical college, Dhyan Sreenivasan is to play a junior doctor. Written and directed by Sagar, the film also stars Dayyana Hameed and Sheelu Abraham in important roles. While Dhanesh Raveendran has handled the cinematography, William Francis has composed the music for the film.
Director Shaji Kailas teams up with Mohanlal for Alone. In the first teaser that released in May 2022, actor Mohanlal was seen training in martial arts. The film which is produced by Antony Perumbavoor goes by the tagline, "Real Heroes Are Always Alone...!!!"
The second teaser introduces us to the character of Mohanlal - Kalidasan, who seems to be in isolation in a closed room. Mohanlal says he is from the Department of Universal Declaration of Human Rights, United Nations, Geneva. In another scene, we see Mohanlal talking to someone about how they met in jail. Who is Mohanlal's Kalidasan? What is his plan?
Music composer Arjun Janya’s directorial debut will have actor-filmmaker Raj B Shetty joining the project. Temporarily called Upendra’s 45, the film marks the fourth venture of Shivanna and Upendra after Om, Preetse, and Lava-Kush. Dhruva Sarja starrer KD is set in the 70s Bangalore and is inspired by real life events. Director Prem called the film, ‘prelude to the war’. The film follows the life of a most wanted gangster who is awaiting to be released from prison.
Helmed by Prem, the film is produced by KVN Productions. Written by Vijay Eshwar and the music is composed by Arjun Janya. Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt plays a prominent role in the film. William David is the cinematographer and Srinivas P Babu is the editor. The film will release in Kannada, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Hindi.
Prithviraj starrer Vilayath Buddha is an adaptation of GR Indugopan's novel of the same name and marks the directorial debut of Jayan Nambiar. The story revolves around two men, Bhaskaran Master and Double Mohanan, who try to claim the ownership of a sandalwood tree.
The film is produced by Sandip Senan under the banner of Urvasi Theatres. Arvind Kashyap of 777 Charlie and Kantara fame is the cinematographer and Jakes Bejoy has composed the music. The film began shooting last week.
