Having started assisting his father (Kalyanji Virji Shah of Kalyanji-Anandji) long before he started officially composing, Viju Shah had a working relationship with director Rajiv Rai right from his debut movie Yudh (for which he is supposed to have ghost composed a couple of songs). And continuing that relation well into the 90s, Shah gifted Rai with some of his biggest musical hits, most iconic of which was the 1994 film Mohra that brought with it a bunch of chart-toppers like Tu Cheez Badi Hai Mast, Tip Tip Barsa Paani and Naa Kajre Ki Dhaar.
