In contrast, Sudipto Sen’s The Kerala Story made Rs 8.03 crore on its opening day and saw a steady increase in box office collections.
It made Rs 11.22 crore and Rs 16 crore on its second and third day respectively, reports Bollywood Hungama.
The film’s earnings surpassed that of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, which made Rs 7.50 crore on its first day (May 5), and Rs 9 crore on the day after, reports Bollywood Hungama.
