The San Diego Comic Con International is one of the biggest pop culture events of the year. Some of the most profitable IPs in the business such as the MCU, DCU, and Star Wars release trailers, teasers and announcements that are exclusive for the attendees. Stars who don the capes and suits, as well as the creators that make these films come to life host engaging panel discussions, keeping the excitement running among fans. This year, Comic Con is about to get its splash of Indian pop culture with the Nag Ashwin created sci-fi dystopian film Project K all set to launch at the event.
Vyjayanthi Movies, the production house backing the project announced that the film will be launched along with an official title reveal, a teaser as well as the release date. Stars Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, Kamal Hassan and Amitabh Bachchan, along with writer-director Nag Ashwin will be attending the event.
Project K will be the first Indian film to be launched at Comic Con. Producer Aswani Dutt expressed excitement with a statement, "As one of the oldest production houses in the Indian Film Industry, we are very proud to embark on this extraordinary journey. Joining forces with some of the biggest superstars of our nation, we are breaking new ground and pushing the boundaries of Indian cinema. This is a proud moment for all the Indian audiences who have been wanting to see Indian Cinema on the global map. Comic Con is that world stage for us.” The event will be held on July 20.
