Varun Dhawan to shoot in Serbia for Citadel, promises unparalleled action

Varun Dhawan confirmed that he will be heading to Serbia to shoot for the international schedule of Citadel. Dhawan said this to PTI at IIFA 2023, promising never-seen-before-action.

Dhawan said, “It has been amazing working on it. We are going to be filming in Serbia. We have a month-long schedule over there with a lot of action. It is a very big series, nothing like people have seen in India yet.”

Giving more details, he said, “The makers are pushing the envelope. Samantha (Prabhu) and I can’t be doing something mediocre. She is one of the hardest-working actors.”

Priyanka Chopra and Richard Madden starrer Citadel wrapped their first season. The Citadel universe is set to have additional franchises in local languages, Italian Original series stars Matilda De Angelis called Citadel: Diana and Indian series stars Dhawan and Prabhu and is directed by Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK.
