World Famous Lover Teaser Talk: Vijay Deverakonda Continues His Heartbroken Lover Streak

'Yamini! I did not just spread your legs Yamini. I loved you! I loved you Yamini' shouts a wailing, distraught looking Vijay Devarakonda in the final seconds of the teaser of his latest film World Famous Lover.  The line may be new, but the visual certainly isn't.

If anything, much of the 73-second teaser plays out like a tick box exercise of the kind of emotionally intense moments and sequences we've come to expect from Vijay Devarakonda's most recent films like Arjun Reddy and Dear Comrade.

We get flashes of familiar moments such as shirtless Vijay looking like all hope is lost, many cold hard stares in the mirror, him screaming in rage and/or pain and breaking things. You've got to wonder if these are a result of stereotyping or a contractual obligation at this point.

The story appears to follow the journey of one man and his four lovers (played by Raashi Khanna, Aishwarya Rajesh, Izabella Leite and Catherine Tresa) across time and geography.  We can only hope the trailer offers more of a look at this side of the story and the film's female characters. From director Kranthi Madhav, World Famous Lover is all set to hit the screens on 14 February 2020, Valentine's Day.
