Suzhal-The Vortex revolves around the mysterious case of a missing school girl, Nila. Aishwarya Rajesh, who plays the sister of Nila, files a complaint. Kathir and Sriya Reddy play the police officers who investigate the case.
As the police investigate the case, they find out that a similar missing case occurred three decades back in 1990. Are they both connected? There is one thing that ties them together — A factory. When the factory began in 1990, a girl went missing, and when it burned down now, another girl goes missing. Alongside the investigation, it also traces Kathir's personal life and his thoughts. Before the case, he believes that he knows about everyone in this small town. But as he starts investigating it, he slowly realizes that there is more to people than what he thinks he knows.
The trailer keeps emphasizing, through the lyrics of the background song and dialogues, that "Like a vortex, it goes round and round and in the end, it will swallow us whole!"
The web series promises a mystery thriller that takes place in a small town in India. Parallel to the missing case, the trailer gives us glimpses of a myth-related festival happening in the town. It looks like this festival will play a major role in driving the plot forward.
