Madhura Raja Trailer Talk: Fury Over Funny

Hours before the trailer launch of Lucifer comes the teaser of Mammotty's big-budget sequel to Pokkiri Raja(2010), Madhura Raja. Instead of retaining the comedic flavour of the original, the teaser reveals a more serious, action-oriented film where punches fly and kicks land. One of the highlights of the first film was Mammootty's problematic use of the English language, but it remains to be seen if that character trait will return.

The punch dialogues, however, are back. A line in the teaser goes, "Raja and his men are always strong. Not double strong…triple strong."

Directed by Vysakh, after the mega success of Mohanlal's Puli Murugan (even the titles of both films look the same), the film is his second film with superstar action director Peter Hein.

Prithviraj, who played a major role in the first film, is not a part of the sequel. Other actors in this film include Tamil actor Jai, Vijayaraghavan, Siddique and Salim Kumar.
