Kurup Trailer Talk: Dulquer Salmaan Plays The Fugitive With Style And Swagger

A week before its big theatrical release, the makers of Kurup have launched a two-minute trailer that gives a fair bit of insight into the look and the plot-line of the film. It begins with a phone call in a police station with an unknown voice asking if the inspector is at the station. It's when the constable reveals the location of the officer do we realise that it is Kurup, the fugitive the inspector is looking for, who has made the call.

The trailer then cuts to a training institute where the character played by Dulquer describes himself as Gopikrishnan. In glimpses, we see a shot of a desert, the Gateway Of India, a cafe with foreigners sitting behind the character, the hills and many other places. It also gives us an idea that it could be Indrajith's character who could either be a journalist on the lookout for Kurup or an investigating officer deputed to find him.

The team had most recently released a song from the film. It is written by K. S. Aravind, Jithin K. Jose and Daniell Sayooj Nair. It is directed by Srinath Rajendran, who also made Dulquer's debut film. Other actors include Sunny Wayne, Shine Tom Chacko, Sobhita Dhulipala and Maya Menon in the supporting roles. The film score and songs are composed by Sushin Shyam.

The film is set to release in five languages Malayalam, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, and Kannada in theatres on November 12, after many delays owing to the pandemic.
