Trailer Talk: Darshan-Starrer Roberrt Celebrates Mass Masala Moments

The trailer of 'Challenging Star' Darshan's much-awaited Roberrt is out, all guns blazing, and it has some impressive 'mass masala' dialogues. The film releases in theatres on March 11. 

Without revealing much about the plot, the trailer opens with dialogues by its principal leads, starting with Ravi Shankar's character claiming only someone more powerful and violent than him can beat him down. This is followed by the reveal of Darshan's character who says that "to become a hero to someone, you need to be a villain to the other". 

The visuals, which have similarities to KGF and Madmax Fury Road, are captivating and showcase Darshan's character in two different timelines. Directed by Tarun Sudhir of Chowka fame, this action drama has a power-packed star cast drawn from many industries. The cast includes Jagapathi Babu, Ravi Kishan, Asha Bhat and Devaraj. Music is by Arjun Janya while cinematography is handled by Sudhakar S Raj.

While the year 2020 seemed bleak for the Kannada industry, quite a few big-budget films are lined up for release this year. A few prominent ones include Santhosh Ananddram's Yuvaratnaa, starring Puneeth Rajkumar, Sayyeshaa and Prakash Raj, Anup Bhandari's Vikrant Rona, starring Sudeep and Nirup Bhandari, and Prashant Neel's much-awaited sequel KGF 2, starring Yash, Raveena Tandon, Srinidhi Shetty and Sanjay Dutt.
