Roohi Trailer Talk: Janhvi Kapoor Is Possessed By A Bride-Stealing Witch

Bhaura (Rajkummar Rao), a kidnapper, gets more than he bargained for when he discovers that his victim, Roohi (Janhvi Kapoor), is possessed by the ghost of a deadly spirit with twisted feet. A voiceover informs us that the ghost is always on the lookout for weddings – if she finds the groom asleep, she kidnaps the bride. What are Bhaura and his friend Kattanni (Varun Sharma) to do now? Their solutions involve placating the ghost by feeding her meat and taking Roohi to various exorcists, including one who makes a magic paan. This doesn't work and Roohi turns into the witch every night. The only way out is for Roohi to get married, they soon find out. If she does, the ghost will leave her alone. If she doesn't, she'll die.

Roohi has been produced by Dinesh Vijan (who also produced the small-town witch comedy Stree) and Mrighdeep Singh Lamba. Directed by Hardik Mehta, it releases in theatres on March 11.
