The teaser for Madhuri Dixit’s much awaited Marathi debut Bucket List went live on her personal Instagram account yesterday. We see Dixit as Madhura Sane, a woman who embarks on a journey of self discovery by experimenting with all the things she wanted to before she got married. She says she was happy being identified only as someone’s wife, mother, or daughter-in-law till she met Sai, a character we don’t see in the teaser.

Quoting the Marathi poems ‘Phulrani’ and ‘Khabardar Jar Taach’, Dixit is shown learning how to whistle, having shots at a club, riding a motorcycle and in a rather ambiguous shot – threatening the kitchen staff in a restaurant with two large pans.

The film has been directed by Tejas Prabha Vijay Deoskar (Prem Sutra and Ajinkya) and co-stars Sumeet Raghavan. It has been co-produced by DAR Motion Pictures, Dark Horse Cinemas and Blue Mustang Creations.

Dixit’s last Hindi movie was the Soumik Sen-directed Gulaab Gang in 2014. Bucket List is, however, her first Marathi film.
