Netflix India has unveiled its upcoming slate of 17 originals, including twelve films and five series. A mix of commissioned projects and acquired Bollywood titles such as the biopic Gunjan Saxena, Anurag Basu's Ludo and rom-com Ginny Weds Sunny. The titles are set to release on Netflix in the coming months.

Following the announcement, Monika Shergill, VP-Content, Netflix India said, "We are excited to share our lineup of stories across formats and multiple genres. We know our members have unique tastes, moods and needs – sometimes, they want to lean back and watch a delightful comedy, and at other times, they want a pulse-pounding thriller that brings them to the edge of their seats. Together with the finest stories from around the world and our rapidly growing selection of licensed titles, we want to give our members something to discover and love on Netflix every day."

The Movies

Ludo 

Anurag Basu's next is a multi-starrer comedy drama about four people whose lives collide, with a cast including Abhishek Bachchan, Rajkummar Rao, Aditya Roy Kapur, Fatima Sana Shaikh, Sanya Malhotra, Pankaj Tripathi and Pearle Maaney.

Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl 

The inspiring true story of India's first female Air Force pilot, the biopic stars Janhvi Kapoor, Pankaj Tripathi, Angad Bedi, Viineet Kumar, Manav Vij and Ayesha Raza Mishra.

Raat Akeli Hai  

A crime thriller from Honey Trehan featuring Radhika Apte, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Aditya Srivastava, Tigmanshu Dhulia, Nishant Dahiya and Shweta Tripathi.

Dolly Kitty Aur Woh Chamakte Sitare 

Directed by Alankrita Srivastava, Konkona Sensharma and Bhumi Pednekar star in a drama about two cousins and their quest for freedom within a deeply patriarchal society.

Ginny Weds Sunny 

The directorial debut of Puneet Khanna is a rom-com featuring Yami Gautam and Vikrant Massey.

Bombay Rose

Gitanjali Rao's award-winning animated film which opened the Venice Critics' Week follows a love story between two street flower sellers who dream of a better life.

Torbaaz 

Torbaaz is an action-thriller starring Sanjay Dutt and Nargis Fakhri is rumoured to explore the world of suicide bombers in Afghanistan.

Tribhanga: Tedhi Meri Crazy

The directorial debut of Renuka Shahane is a family drama which follows the lives of three women from different generations in a family. It stars Kajol, Tanvi Azmi and Mithila Palkar.

Kaali Khuhi

A horror story set in a village in Punjab, the film stars Shabana Azmi, Satyadeep Mishra, Sanjeeda Sheikh and Riva Arora.

Serious Men

Sudhir Mishra returns to the director's chair with a drama based on Manu Joseph's novel which stars Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Nassar and Shweta Basu Prasad.

Class of '83

Netflix's third collaboration with Shah Rukh Khan's Red Chillies Entertainment is a police drama which stars Bobby Deol, Shriya Saran and Pulkit Samrat. It is directed by Atul Sabharwal.

AK vs AK 

Vikramaditya Motwane's next is a dark comedy starring Anil Kapoor and Anurag Kashyap as the two titular AKs. It revolves around the kidnapping of a well-known film star by a famous director and the cat and mouse game that follows.

Mismatched 

YouTube sensation Prajakta Koli and Rohit Saraf star in this young adult romance based on Sandhya Menon's book 'When Dimple met Rishi'.

A Suitable Boy

Mira Nair's adaptation of Vikram Seth's critically acclaimed book stars Ishaan Khatter, Tabu,  Tanya Maniktala, Rasika Dugal, Shahana Goswami and Ram Kapoor.

Masaba Masaba 

Masaba Gupta and Neena Gupta star as themselves in a show about their real lives.

Bombay Begums

Amruta Subhash, Plabita Borthakur, Aadhya Anand, Pooja Bhatt and Shahana Goswami star in a contemporary drama about five women across generations who wrestle with desire, ethics, personal crises and vulnerabilities to own their ambition in contemporary urban India.

Bhaag Beanie Bhaag 

Earlier titled Messy, this series from director Debbie Rao stars Swara Bhasker and Ravi Patel. The show is about a woman who decides to run from her comfortable life to pursue a career in stand-up comedy.
