Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy Teaser Talk: A Power-Packed Show Of Swag And Spectacle

The official teaser of Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy is here and it does not disappoint.

The latest period epic to come out of a post-Baahubali world, Sye Raa stars Chiranjeevi (marking the superstar's 151st film) as Uyyalawada Narasimha Reddy, one of India's first freedom fighters. The teaser is well-cut and delivers on all fronts, promising thunderous scale, massive battle sequences and searing swag from Chiranjeevi.

While spectacle-driven cinema is very much in vogue across Bollywood and the Southern film industries, the current theme seems to be on massively-mounted stories surrounding an uprising against the British-rule. In Hindi cinema alone, the last year has seen Thugs Of Hindostan, Manikarnika and Kesari, all featuring colonial revolt. SS Rajamouli's highly anticipated next, RRR starring NTR Jr and Ram Charan (also the producer of Sye Raa) is also rumoured to be centred on freedom fighters.

The teaser also gives us glimpses of the impressive wider cast – a cross-section of stars across industries including Amitabh Bachchan, Nayantara, Tamannaah, Vijay Sethupathi and Sudeep.

Amit Trivedi replaced AR Rahman to compose the film's music while Rathnavelu replaced Ravi Varman as the cinematographer.

Distributed in Hindi by Excel Entertainment, director Surender Reddy's ambitious film releases on October 2nd in Hindi, Tamil Telugu and Malayalam.
