FC Disruptors: OAFF

Gehraiyaan marked the mainstream film debut of the independent music duo of OAFF and composer Savera Mehta. The songs had an easy-listening vibe, using mellow synths and bass with pianos and soulful vocals. OAFF compositions are the first example of a Bollywood soundtrack perfectly attuned to the 30-second capsule of short format videos. Net result: Songs like the film’s title track and “Doobey” were playing on loop thanks to countless Instagram Reels.
