Download The Script Of Kaminey

Often billed as India's answer to Pulp Fiction, Vishal Bhardwaj's Kaminey is a dark comedy about estranged twin brothers Charlie and Guddu. Played to perfection by Shahid Kapoor, both characters suffer from speech impediments. Charlie is a bookie who lisps, and Guddu, who stutters, is a timid NGO worker.

The film has an incredibly talented support cast as well that includes, Priyanka Chopra, Amole Gupte and Chandan Roy Sanyal.

Kaminey went on to become a cult favorite for its non-linear narrative, superlative performances and music, composed by Vishal Bhardwaj himself with lyrics by Gulzar. Bhardwaj cites filmmakers like Quentin Tarantino, Guy Ritchie, the Coen Brothers, Francis Ford Coppola, and even Manmohan Desai as his references for the film.

Kaminey won several awards, including two National Awards (Special Jury Award: A. Sreekar Prasad and Meghna Manchanda Sen, Best Audiography: Subhash Sahu) and one Filmfare Award, and was also well received internationally.

The film's story is based on an idea by Kenyan writer Cajetan Boy, with dialogues by Vishal Bhardwaj. He co-wrote the screenplay with Supratik Sen, Abhishek Chaubey and Sabrina Dhawan.
