After her critically acclaimed film Thank You For Coming which was recently released in theatres. Producer Rhea Kapoor has confirmed a sequel to her 2018 film Veere Di Wedding.
Veere Di Wedding starred Kareena Kapoor Khan, Sonam Kapoor, Swara Bhaskar, Shikha Talsania and Sumeet Vyas. The film was directed by Shashanka Ghosh.
A report in Bollywood Hungama has a quote of the actress to her fans where she said, “I’m working on Veere Di Wedding 2. It will be very different, it’s not going to be what anybody expects.
“It’s such an important film for me.I love that film and very attached to it. I didn’t want to do it if I didn’t get the same amount of joy I did from making the first one. So, yes, Veere Di Wedding 2 is in the works,” she added.
Rhea Kapoor hasn’t revealed any details on the cast of the sequel. She is also producing, The Crew , starring Kareena Kapoor Khan, Tabu, Kriti Sanon and Diljit Dosanjh as main characters. The film will tentatively release in March, 2024.
