I feel like these characters are always in me. I often remember these characters as close friends, people who I'm really fond of and I accept them with everything, their strengths and their vulnerabilities. Season 2’s feel like you’re visiting an old friend again.
For me, it has always been a little difficult that if I have to hold on to something for too long I feel bored of it and I feel repetitive. So somewhere I don't want to know too much. I want to be not fully prepared. The element of uncertainty in front of the camera is very important to me.
When you pass out from a film school, you have a process and you walk in a certain way. The first film I got was Aakrosh and Khatta Meetha, both within a month and there was no script so everybody used to be ready and waiting for dialogues. I was so scared of this as this wasn’t my training.
Our jobs as actors we allow ourselves to feel everything. There are no walls. I love that about our job as actors. For example to explore journalism. Journalists are a product of the circumstances they find themselves in. It is not always about right or wrong nor is it black or white.
When you get into shows like these you have a certain idea of how a newsroom works. What responsibility and pressure do they deal with. Speaking of the information we get nowadays, verify everything you get from the media. You cannot trust it on the face.
It’s been a long time since I had something really crazy or bonkers come out about me and I would like to keep it that way. I don’t have a Google alert for my name. Also, if there is something really bonkers coming out about me, I don’t want to know. I hope it goes away.
