Andaz (1971)

Sippy debuted with this romantic musical starring Shammi Kapoor, Rajesh Khanna, and Hema Malini.

Seeta aur Geeta (1972)

Inspired by the double role played by Dilip Kumar in 1967's Ram aur Shyam, Sippy cast Hema Malini as twin sisters Seeta and Geeta who get separated at birth and grow up in completely contrasting atmospheres.

Sholay (1975)

One of the greatest Hindi films ever made was helmed by Sippy, telling the story of a man's quest for revenge, his handing over of the task to two criminals, and the great bandit.

Shaan (1980)

Sippy took a lot of inspiration from James Bond, chiefly the credits and the villain Shakaal, who resembled Ernst Stavro Blofeld. The film was a multi-starrer in the vein of Sholay (1975), though not as remarkable.

Shakti (1982)

Sippy brought together Dilip Kumar and Amitabh Bachchan in this crime drama, which also starred Rakhee, Kulbhushan and, in a special appearance, Anil Kapoor.

Saagar (1985)

Sippy directed this romantic drama starring Dimple Kapadia, Rishi Kapoor, and Kamal Haasan which became a massive hit as well as India's nomination for the Best Foreign Language Film at the Oscars.

Akayla (1991)

A film about a lonesome police officer who embarks on a mission to avenge his friends, Akayla was supposedly inspired by Don Siegel's Dirty Harry (1971), this marks Sippy's final collaboration with Amitabh Bachchan till date.
