Night Stalker: The Hunt For a Serial Killer (2021)

This show documents the investigation into Richard Ramirez aka the Night Stalker. The show has an eerie quality to it capturing the unsettling character that the serial killer was to the core. Also, it interestingly shows real footage of the serial killer craze that made some of these killers into stars.

The Serpent (2021)

Tahar Rahim gives a great performance as Charles Sobraj in 'The Serpent'. The show documents the infamous serial killers attempt to escape the law across the 70s hippie trail.

Unbelievable (2019)

A damning and empathetic show that shows the damage that sexual violence as well as not being believed causes. An investigation into a series of sexual violence cases by two officers (played by Toni Collette and Merritt Weaver), uncovers a rap sheet of crime that lasts for years.

Indian Predator: Murder in The Courtroom (2022)

An overlooked part of the Indian Predator series brings forth discourse about caste and systemic corruption. It looks at a community, terrorized and failed by the system, that fights for its own justice.

Tiger King: Murder, Mayhem, and Madness (2020)

An absolutely bonkers story of a murder-for-hire plot, following the tiger king 'Joe Exotic', a big cat breeder and former zoo owner. The series gives access to the odd and convoluted world of big cats and decades long feud that turns dark.

Fear City: New York vs The Mafia (2020)

An interesting exploration of the organized crime structures of New York in the 70s and 80s. The functioning of five families - The Gambinos, the Colombos, the Bonannos, the Luccheses and the Genovese- as well as the FBI's attempt to deconstruct the structures are shown in detail.

The Hunt for Veerappan (2023)

This series does a phenomenal job of exploring the man behind the myth with interviews with his family and people from his village. It is a thrilling decades long journey to capture the smuggler.
