Gadar 2 starring Sunny Deol is the upcoming sequel of the iconic 2001 film Gadar: Ek Prem Katha. The original film was released in 350 screens across the country, and was the most-watched movie of its release era.
The sequel will not be a direct continuation of the first part but will have a completely fresh storyline set in 1971.
There will, however, be moments that call back to the original Gadar. Audiences can expect action, drama and romance, with a focus on familial relationships.
In the teaser, it is not Sakeena that Tara Singh is grieving for. The reason he is crying is a pivotal moment in the narrative that you can find out when you watch the film.
