This is an Iranian minimalist drama film written, edited and directed by Abbas Kiarostami. The film depicts a middle-aged man who drives through the suburbs of Tehran, in search of someone willing to bury him after he commits suicide.

Ship Of Theseus (2012) 

This is an independent drama film written and directed by Anand Gandhi. The film explores questions of identity, justice, death and so much more through the intertwining stories of a photographer, a monk and a stockbroker.

Anbe Sivam (2003)

This is a slice-of-life drama film directed by Sundar C. The story revolves around two men with contrasting personalities who get stranded at the airport. While forcefully accompanying each other, they form an unexpected bond and exchange many thoughts on life and more.

Life Is Beautiful (1997) 

This is an Italian comedy drama film directed by Roberto Benigni. The film depicts a Jewish bookshop owner, who employs his imagination and storytelling to protect his son from the scarring effects of a Nazi concentration camp. 

Anand (1971) 

This is a drama film co-written and directed by Hrishikesh Mukherjee. The film depicts the story of Anand, a terminally ill man, who sets out to live his last days to the fullest and spreads joy among others. 

Ankhon Dekhi (2014) 

This is a drama film written and directed by Rajat Kapoor. The film tells the story of a middle aged man who rejects aspects of reality unless he has seen it for himself. This shift in him causes trouble for everybody around.
