Dil Se (1998)

Mani Ratnam brought the curtains down on his "Terrorism Trilogy" with Dil Se...., which was shot across a variety of locations, Kerala getting prominent footage in the song "Jiya Jale".

Guru (2007)

Mani Ratnam continued his association with Kerala with the drama Guru, filming the song "Barso Re" with Aishwarya Rai in Kerala.

Tashan (2008)

Parts of the song "Falak Tak" in Vijay Krishna Acharya's multi-starrer Tashan (2008) were canned on the backwaters of Kerala, largely on houseboats and cargo barges.

Chennai Express (2013)

Many parts of the Rohit Shetty film starring Deepika Padukone and Shah Rukh Khan were filmed in Kerala, particularly the songs "Kashmir Main Tu Kanyakumari" and "Titli".

Madras Cafe (2013)

For obvious reasons, the Shoojit Sircar film couldn't be shot in Sri Lanka, and so Kerala became one of the primary substitute locations for the island country.

Chef (2017)

Raja Krishna Menon's adaptation of the 2014 Jon Favreau film used Kochi as one of its primary locations, with strolls through the city streets, boat rides on the backwaters, and lunches at road-side eateries.

Karwaan (2018)

The penultimate Irrfan-starrer to release in the actor's lifetime, the Akarsh Khurana road movie was shot extensively in Kerala, covering a variety of locations as the titular vehicle traversed the province.
