The Picture - Memento (2000)

The story follows Leonard Shelby, who suffers from anterograde amnesia and uses hints to hunt for the man he thinks killed his wife, the only thing he remembers. In the opening scene of this film, a photograph of a dead man is in the frame. The Polaroid gradually fades out in reverse, establishing the non-linear plot and conflict, interestingly and creatively. 

The Reveal - The Prestige (2006) 

Following a tragedy, 2 magicians engage in a battle to create an ultimate illusion. They sacrifice everything towards the craft and we watch madness take over dedication towards their passion. In one of the final scenes, they reveal how they pull off the illusion, which is extremely exciting but disturbing. 

The Interrogation - Dark Knight (2008) 

Christopher Nolan’s adaptation of the characters of Batman and Joker are cult classic literature. There is an exploration of depth and philosophy in their stories. During the interrogation scene, we watch a palpably tense but extremely composed scene of the two discussing their opposing views. 

The Hallway Fight - Inception (2010) 

This film follows Cobb, a thief who steals information from his targets by entering their dreams. He is on a mission, rushing against time. The film explores the idea of extractors, dream construction and manipulation. This iconic hallway scene is one of the most authentic and iconic action scenes. 

The Messages - Interstellar (2014) 

On a mission for greater good, Cooper leaves his family behind. In this scene, he watches the years of his children’s lives he missed out. This scene is one which holds the emotional core of the film. 

The Victory Speech - Oppenheimer (2023) 

During World War II, J. Robert Oppenheimer was working on the top-secret Manhattan Project, developing and designing the atomic bomb. The film explores Oppenheimer’s guilt regarding both sides of the weapons of mass destruction argument.
