Hiroshima Mon Amour (1959)

The story is about a French actress visiting Hiroshima, to film an anti-war movie. She has an affair with a Japanese architect who is married to somebody else. It is a nonlinear story with memories of the two characters, their thoughts,feelings and the deep vulnerable space they share.

Raincoat (2004) 

Directed by Rituparno Ghosh, this film is based on the short story by O.Henry, The Gift of the Magi. The film tells the story of Neerja and Manoj, separated lovers, who meet again one day. This meeting brings a lot of truth, realisations and regrets back to the surface and makes both of them question their lives.

Leap Year (2010) 

This is the story of Anna, a real estate worker who is committed to being happy. She is on her way to Dublin, to meet her boyfriend on Leap Day. According to Irish tradition, women propose marriage to men on this day. Her plans are interrupted by a series of transport misadventures and a local Irish man, who she builds a special relationship with. 

Premam (2015) 

Premam, which translates in english to “Love” is directed by Alphonse Puthren. It is a coming of age story about the few essential years of a boy, George David. He is faced with love thrice during these years, each time learning something new or changing the concept of love he had.  

Meri Pyaari Bindu (2017) 

The story is about Abhimanyu and Bindu, two childhood friends who are bound to each other by their deep connection.The film tells the story of their love for each other, which is sometimes selfish and sometimes selfless. 

Weekend (2011) 

This film directed by Andrew Haigh is a mumblecore romance that explores human connections. It tells the story of Russel and Glen, over one weekend of their lives. What was supposed to be a brief encounter between the two, turns into something a lot more special.

‘96 (2018)

This film directed by Premkumar Chandran is a heartfelt story of Ram and Janu, two childhood sweethearts who developed a very special bond with each other in their early years. The story depicts them at present, having been apart for 22 years.
