Miss Shetty Mr. Polishetty (2023)

The movie is hilarious, and the protagonists have excellent chemistry. The writing is full of witty dialogues and punchy jokes, and there’s not one dull moment in this film. Engaging from start to end.

Seventeen (2019)

This Spanish movie on Netflix inspires you while making you laugh and shed a tear or two. It’s the story of 17-year-old Héctor (Biel Montoro), who escapes a youth detention centre to search for Oveja, a shelter dog he befriended a couple of years ago, whom he named Sheep.

The Lift Boy (2019)

This slice-of-life inspiring movie on Netflix is about a 24-year-old boy, Raju (Moin Khan), who takes over his sick father’s job as a lift operator. Raju is studying to become an engineer, and barring one subject (engineering drawing), he has performed well.

The Climb (2017)

Would you climb Mount Everest to prove your love? Samy (Ahmed Sylla) decides to do just that in this adventure-comedy movie. His love for Nadia (Alice Belaïdi) has spanned years, and he feels it’s time to do something about it.

Stuck Together (2021)

This French comedy film is a fun take on the pandemic. When everything shut down, and the streets of Paris looked like a ghost town, seven families that stayed in one building fought with each other, cried together, and bonded more than ever.

Fundamentals of Caring (2016)

The film revolves around Ben, who decides to become a caregiver for a sardonic, bitter disabled teen, Trevor. The two embark on a road trip to see the world's deepest pit as Trevor thinks it would be funny to travel a whole lot to stare at a hole in the ground.

Apollo 10 ½: A Space Age Childhood  

Director Richard Linklater reimagines America’s first moon landing in 1969 through the eyes of a young boy growing up in the suburbs of Houston, Texas. Taking inspiration from his own life, Linklater crafts a nostalgic ode to his childhood.
