Something that I took from the film was "Spend a little more time trying to make something out of yourself and a little less time trying to impress people." I think that's important to not just know but know it in your bones as you grow.
As Mr.Keatings teaches we listen and learn. One of my favorite is "Just when you think you know something, you have to look at it in another way. Even though it may seem silly or wrong, you must try."
You already know the dialogue I'm about to mention. Don't you? "We buy things we don't need with money we don't have to impress people we don't like" and "The things you own end up owning you."

When you're young and a relationship ends, you come out on the other side feeling like you're never going to feel that way again. There is always going to be someone else. Also, if you understand why summer did what summer did, yeah you’ve been through stuff. It’s alright. You've grown.
Out of all the things, It Teaches us the importance of maintaining a sense of humor in all situations, even the most dire, is highlighted. Additionally, it educates individuals about the Holocaust and everybody should know about the Holocaust.
