S.S. Rajamouli

Rajamouli reimagined the scale of the typical Indian film with the Baahubali duology (2015-17) and then with RRR (2022), all of which grossed upwards of ₹500 crore, with the second Baahubali touching ₹1400 crore and RRR breaching ₹900 crore.

Prashanth Neel

The success of KGF: Chapter I (2018) across multiple Indian languages led to a major uptick in the collections of Chapter II (2022), which collected upwards of ₹1000 crore.

Atlee

Shah Rukh Khan's second release of 2023 became the highest domestic grosser in Hindi ever made: the Atlee-helmed Jawan (2023) collected upwards of ₹700 crore to become both director and star's most successful release.

Siddharth Anand

But the Shah Rukh Khan juggernaut started with Siddharth Anand, who directed the actor in the YRF Spy Universe film Pathaan (2023). Coming off the success of War (2019), Anand resuscitated SRK's box office standing with a gross of more than ₹650 crore.

Sandeep Reddy Vanga

Sandeep Reddy Vanga's third feature, the much-talked-about Animal (2023) starring Ranbir Kapoor has thus far collected upwards of ₹600 crore.

Anil Sharma

Reuniting with Sunny Deol after a decade for a sequel to their most successful film, Anil Sharma delivered a ₹625 crore-grosser in the form of Gadar 2.

Nitesh Tiwari

An outlier in the line-up, Nitesh Tiwari helmed a sports biopic – Dangal (2016) – with Aamir Khan serving as producer and lead actor. The film's success was expected, but not the scale of it. It grossed upwards of ₹500 crore domestically, which was one-fourth of its worldwide gross.
