The farmers of Champaner village request the rulers to exempt them of paying tax, but their plea is refused. The captain of the British regiment steps in and offers a deal, if they play cricket with them and win the match, he would cancel their tax for the next two years. This Aamir Khan starter follows what ensues after.

In this movie directed by Nikkhil Advani, Gattu (Akshay Kumar) goes against his father's wishes and plays cricket for England. He sways between doing what he loves and obeying who he loves until his father realizes what he has put his son through.
