Following up to the 1988 film Beetlejuice, Tim Burton directs this horror comedy musical about a ghost who helps haunt houses. The film stars Jenna Ortega — along with Michael Keaton, Winona Ryder and Catherine O'Hara who will be returning in the sequel.

Challengers

This romantic comedy + sports drama promises a deliciously messy bisexual love triangle. The film follows a tennis player who has to face off against his former best friend, who also happens to be his current girlfriend’s ex-boyfriend.

Deadpool 3

Director Shawn Levy brings the third instalment of the Deadpool franchise — an answer to fans’ incessant requests to get Deadpool and Wolverine together. 

Dune 2

This is the second instalment in Dennis Villeneuve’s sprawling sci-fi saga, which is based on the 1965 novel of the same name by Frank Herbert. Dune 2 takes forward Paul Atreides’s journey as he reckons with the prophecy that leaves the fate of the world in his hands.

Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga

A double whammy that is both a spin-off and a prequel to Mad Max: Fury Road (2015). The film stars Anya Taylor-Joy, Chris Hemsworth and Tom Burke in the fifth instalment of the Mad Max franchise.

Gladiator 2

Ridley Scott has offered up the sequel to Gladiator — one of his most beloved films. Though Russell Crowe won’t be returning to reprise his iconic role, the film has a swoon worthy cast of Paul Mescal, Denzel Washington, Joseph Quinn, and internet Zaddy, Pedro Pascal. 

Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire 

The Monsterverse expands with Godzilla and Kong collaborating to save the Hollow Earth and the surface. This is the sequel to the 2021  Godzilla vs. Kong.

Written and directed by John Krasinski, it has a stacked cast with Ryan Reynolds, Steve Carell, Phoebe Waller-Bridge and Krasinski's wife, Emily Blunt. The film follows a girl who starts seeing the imaginary friends of other children who have been abandoned.

Inside Out 2

The sequel to the charming 2015 Pixar film — which is set in the mind of an angsty adolescent — introduces a new emotion into the mix, Anxiety, played by Maya Hawke. Riley’s other emotions, Joy, Sadness, Anger, Fear and Disgust, must now figure out how to deal with this unwelcome arrival. 

Joker: Folie à Deux

Joaquin Phoenix is back as the Joker with Lady Gaga as Harley Quinn in this sequel to the well received 2019 film. Todd Phillips returns to direct this film, and it is rumoured to be a musical drama.

Kingdom Of The Planet Of The Apes

Wes Ball’s sci-fi actioner is the fourth instalment of the Planet of the Apes franchise. After 300 years of the War for the Planet of the Apes (2017), this film follows the story of Proximus Caesar, Noa and Mae.

Mickey-17

Written, directed, and co-produced by Bong Joon-ho, this sci-fi film is based on a novel by Edward Ashton of the same name. The film follows Mickey 17, who is an “expendable” on a mission to colonise another world. 

Madame Web

Directed by S. J. Clarkson, this fourth instalment in Sony’s Spider-Man Universe stars Dakota Johnson as Madame Web, along with Sydney Sweeney, Celeste O'Connor, Isabela Merced and Tahar Rahim.

The Color Purple

Directed by Blitz Bazawule, this coming-of-age musical is based on the Alice Walker novel of the same name, and is an adaptation of The Color Purple stage musical.

The Lord of the Rings: The War of the Rohirrim 

This animated prequel takes us back to Middle Earth. Set 261 years before the events of The Lord of The Rings: The Two Towers (2002), the film is reported to draw inspiration from the visuals and design of Peter Jackson’s iconic film trilogy.
