Among the many annual cultural events to fall prey to the Coronavirus lockdown is the Met Gala. The annual event where celebrities are encouraged to dress as …outrageously as possible, was due to take place this week but, much to the dismay of meme makers, it has been indefinitely put on hold. But don't you worry, we've got you covered. From 16 ft long dresses to detachable heads, here's looking back at some of the most outlandish looks to have come out of the gala over the last few years.
Jared Leto walked the Met 2019 pink carpet recreating the shocking moment Gucci created on their Fall 2018 runway, carrying his own head as an accessory. (Do you reckon there was a point in the night where he just left it lying on a table somewhere? We'd certainly like to think so).
