Baradwaj Rangan is a National Award-winning film critic. He has authored Conversations with Mani Ratnam and Dispatches From the Wall Corner. His long-form story on Vikram was featured in The Caravan Book of Profiles, as one of their “twelve definitive profiles.” His short story, The Call, was published in The Indian Quarterly. He has written screenplays and works for theatre. He teaches a course on cinema at the Asian College of Journalism, Chennai. He is also Chief Consultant with Jio MAMI Mumbai Film Festival with Star.
Journalist, creative director, producer and author, Smriti Kiran has been part of the entertainment industry for two decades. At present, she is the Creative Head of a television production house, Cherry Tree Productions that produces Film Companion. She’s also the Creative Director of the Mumbai Film Festival.

After graduating from St. Xavier's College in Mumbai, Shriparna took up some fun assignments in the Channel V of Simpoo repute. She stuck to the quirky, yet exciting world of Indian Television working on various Non Fiction & Unscripted formats. After having worked with companies like EndemolShine, BBC & Sony Entertainment Network, a 3 year stint as the Features Editor of Planet Goa Magazine in Goa was to follow before returning to Mumbai.
The oldest member on the Film Companion team, Santosh is our go- to guy for almost everything! He ensures we have camera equipment and technical crew at the shortest possible notice for all our shoots. He has also volunteered to make sure that every member of the Film Companion team is always well fed!
After winning the Best Young Critic award at the 17th Mumbai Film Festival, Wayne joined Film Companion as the youngest member. He writes, researches, entertains and pesters fellow employees with nagging questions. The only thing Wayne talks about more than his love for Linklater, Scorsese and The Beatles is why veganism is the need of the hour.
