The sequel of the commercially successful Ek Tha Tiger has Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif reprise their roles as Indian spy Tiger and Pakistani agent Zoya, respectively. Tiger Zinda Hai is directed by Ali Abbas Zafar, whose last release was Salman Khan-starrer, Sultan (2016). The film revolves around the rescue of 25 Indian nurses who’ve been kidnapped by a terrorist organisation, ISE and held hostage in Iraq.The evil dictator heading the ISE plans to plunge the world into war.
Ek Tha Tiger (2012) ended with Tiger and Zoya running away together after both RAW (India's Research & Analysis Wing) and ISI (Pakistan's Inter-Services Intelligence) were unable to arrest them. The sequel, however, shows both of them as high-value agents working for their own governments.
Filled with high-octane action sequences, the 3-minute long trailer showcases its slick action sequences. Tom Struthers, the film's action director's previous projects include Christopher Nolan’s films Batman Begins, The Dark Knight, The Dark Knight Rises, Inception and Dunkirk.
