FC Trailer Talk: Ribbon

Ribbon, directed by Rakhee Sandilya, is a slice of life drama that follows the journey of a young couple whose life is turned upside down by an unplanned pregnancy. The couple played by Sumeet Vyas and Kalki Koechlin struggle to deal with the pressures of managing their work and home life while becoming parents.

During the trailer launch event in Mumbai, Sumeet Vyas, popular for his character Mikesh in TVF's Permanent Roommates, said, "Ribbon is exactly the kind of realistic content I want to be associated with. It's a story which is relatable yet unique." Actress Kalki Koechlin, when asked about her thoughts on women balancing home and work, said, "The film shows how difficult it can be for a woman to go back to work after a maternity leave. I also feel paternity leave would be really helpful for new parents to cope with parental responsibilities."

Ribbon, which is releasing on November 3, has been produced by Prakash Mondal and Swathi Mondal and is distributed and marketed by Shiladitya Bora's One Platoon Films. Bora has previously worked with Drishyam Films and has been instrumental in the release of several indie films like Masaan (2015), Dhanak (2015) and Waiting (2016).
