Directed by Abhay Chopra, Ittefaq is based on Yash Chopra's 1969 film with the same name. The trailer shows a high profile double murder for which Sidharth Malhotra and Sonakshi Sinha are the only witnesses as well as the prime suspects. Akshaye Khanna plays the role of the menacing cop intent on finding out the truth since both the witness' testimonies are vastly different.
Yash Chopra's 1969 film starred Rajesh Khanna and Nanda revolving around a similar premise of two murders for which Rajesh Khanna is accused. Produced by BR Chopra, Ittefaq was one of the few songless films of its time. This time around it is BR Chopra's grandson, Abhay Chopra, who has directed the remake.
Ittefaq (2017) is produced by Renu Ravi Chopra, Gauri Khan, Karan Johar and Abhay Chopra. The film releases on November 3.
